Lining up to one of the top domaines in Burgundy, we can never hide our love for Domaine Ponsot after tasting a number of their wines over the years which were all very memorable, more even after learning about all the innovations that Laurent Ponsot had introduced into the bottling and packaging of their wines over the years to maintain the conditions and protect themselves from counterfeit wines. Laurent Ponsot has kept leading the domaine to produce brilliant wines from village to Grand Cru wines, and have developed a remarkably unique style that clearly differentiates itself from other top producers in Gevrey-Chambertin. Laurent Ponsot had however left his family domaine and his last production was the 2015 vintage to set up his own negociant business. While we look forward to his new negotiant business, his previous work at Domaine Ponsot will never be forgotten and vintages created during his tenure have become even more worthy of collection.
