Castello di Montegrosso, located in the heart of Asti and being an artisan producer thus able to keep their 1970s bottles for at least fifty years before releasing to market. The domaine originated from a castle of Montegrosso d’Asti built in 1134 by order of the Marquis Bonifacio del Vasto, lord of the city of Asti. A classical of making, or we could say “indigenous” as all the practices are managed in traditional way such as matured in large oak casks and also to treasure about that these bottles being kept in the producer’s cellar which provide the best of the best conditions of aging. The corks are checked before in the cellar before new labels and capsules are applied, we have sampled a bottle of these which are all extraordinary with vibrancy geared up each bottle and at these prices they are a steal.
