Established in 1860, this domaine was previously known as Francois Jobard, and was renamed to Francois et Antoine Jobard when his son - Antoine joined in 2002, and has been fully in charge since 2007. Francois was famously known for his powerful and full-bodied Meursault, and Antoine inherited his father’s talent while taking on a more sensuous approach, making wines that are more open and precise than his father's when young, with a shorter aging time required.
Owning around 4.8 hectares vineyards, 95% of their lands are located in Meursault. They insist on the traditional winemaking methods and comparatively long oak barrel and lees aging, resulting in wines that are made for long aging, with a “taut, mineral, complex and refined” style which “reflect an unhurried restraint, competence, dedication and precision, giving them complex and elegant characteristics”, according to Jasper Morris MW.

An expressive and nicely complex nose that is perhaps not quite as fresh features aromas of hazelnut, orchard fruit and very subtle spice hints that continue onto the racy, fresh and superbly well delineated flavors that are balanced, long and wonderfully intense. A wine for purists as this is linear and direct with no round edges.
