Always at the top of our white wine producer list, Ramonet's wines are always enjoyable from our past tasting experiences and we are sure they will never disappoint buyers who are looking for top-notch Chardonnay that offers a harmonious and joyful experience. Even Clive Coates, Master of Wine, had praised Ramonet to be the “white equivalent of Henri Jayer or DRC”. And despite the amazing quality they produce year after year, they maintain a relatively low profile and are accessible in price. They are extremely protective of the old vines in the vineyards and perform fermentation in stainless steel vats before moving to oak casks which allow them to evolve into the elegant, smooth thus superb quality wines.
 
Last week we sampled a bottle of Ramonet Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru 2017 and it was extraordinary.  It’s an emotional wine, in which all the elements are well packed into perfect harmony. Unfortunately, with its stunning reputation that Ramonet’s wines remain in high demand and they are always at the top of the list for any Burgundy collector.

Captivating nose combines white fruits, mint and menthol, lifted by powdered stone and a floral topnote. More saline than the foregoing samples, conveying a dry but round umami character and notes of minerals and menthol. Less open than the Boudriotte, with its substantial alcohol supported by flavor intensity. (13.7% alcohol)
