🍷New Arrival: Mature Burgundies from Henri Guenard and Desaunay-Bissey, Starting from HK$390

This week, we have received a shipment from Burgundy and would like to highlight a few Burgundy reds which I think are at fantastic values.

Henri Guenard is established in 1783 and has a long history in Cote Chalonnaise, their holdings scattered Gevrey-Chambertin, Pommard, Meursault and Corton, in which they also have a few Grand Cru vineyards such as Clos de Beze, Mazis Chambertin and Latricieres Chambertin. We have selected a few of their wines including the half bottles Mazis Chambertin 2004 starting from HK$420 per 375ml.

Desauney Bissey remains in low profile over the years however this small estate was caught by Wine Advocate’s William Kelley recently, who said “The wines are very true to their appellations, with creamy old-vine concentration and excellent balance.” Now stepping into six years of age, the Vosne-Romanee Les Rouges 1er Cru 2017 will be showing gracefully and a Vosne Romanee Premier Cru at HK$650 per bottle, the wine is in its sweet spot.
