Being one of the most extravagance estates in Vosne-Romanee it owns some nice Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards such as La Grande Rue, Grands Echezeaux, Vosne Romanee Les Malconsorts, and Les Suchots, the qualities from Domaine Lamarche (and now Domaine Nicole Lamarche) has been sufficiently improved after Nicole Lamarche took over the management.
 
The wines are very fine indeed, lots of improvements started from the vineyards such as organic and biodynamic measures, the vines are trained higher and to apply softer and more used oak barrels with the wines. Some wines are still at approachable prices and are excellent options for Vosne-Romanee nowadays.

Les Suchots was touched by the April 2016 frost – and especially the low middle area of the lower part of this vineyard was hit – hence lower yields and a somewhat elevated intensity and concentration. This is the case with the Lamarche Les Suchots. The intensity in the nose and on the palate is fine – offering a more tightly knit fruit and more weight – a bit compact currently – but I’m sure it will unfold beautifully.
 
89-91pts Allen Meadows
A somewhat spicier mix of red currant, plum and lavender is set against a subtle backdrop of sandalwood nuances. There is both more volume and bit more energy as well to the medium-bodied flavors that possess a slightly rounder mouthfeel on the dusty and youthfully austere finale. Patience.

A strikingly spicy nose offers up notes of anise, hoisin and soy along with notes of Asian-style tea, violet and red and dark pinot fruit. There is a bit more mid-palate density to the seductive textured, velvety and mouthcoating flavors that possess better depth and persistent on the slightly firmer finale.
