Today we are pleased to share with you our selection of chardonnays from a few legendary white producers from the region, which includes Coche Dury, Leflaive and Ramonet and Roulot. The list includes chardonnay from a bottle of Ex-Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Grand Cru 1997 to the more recent 2020 Bourgogne from Coche Dury which are all considered referencing examples of the best Chardonnay in the world. ·  Coche Dury has been producing top-quality wines across the board over the decades, from village to their Grand Crus. They put a lot of emphasis in the vineyard, pruning their vines extensively and do not use any pesticides and work hard to maintain the ecological balance, and then applies fairly traditional vinification approaches with the proportion of new oak varying from year to year, but in general, the domaine is accustomed to using quite a lot of new oak, using up to 50% new oak for their top wines. The wines are kept in their barrels to age for around 15-22 months and then bottled without any filtration. The resulting wines are sublime, pure, and elegant with solid intensity to evolve exceptionally well with aging.
 
·  Domaine Leflaive is always one of the top producers that comes to our minds when considering Burgundy whites. Domaine Leflaive had been managed by Anne-Claude Leflaive who had driven the domaine to its peak and made a name for herself in Burgundy and in the world of wines, gaining many wine producers' and wine lovers' respect with the fantastic, top-end quality she had been producing up til the very last vintage she made in 2014.
 
·  Domaine Ramonet is one of our favorite producers and they are extremely protective of the old vines in the vineyards and perform fermentation in stainless steel vats before moving to oak casks which allow them to evolve into the elegant, smooth thus superb quality wines.
 
·  Domaine Roulot is a legendary producer of Meursault making the finest drops year after year. They have established a distinguished style of purity and elegance which has clear differences in each of his plots in Meursault, and began farming the vineyard organically since 2000. Roulot’s Meursault productions have amazed critics, professionals and collectors with its purity, depth and exquisite detailedness.
