Being one of the top Champagne houses, Louis Roederer's Cristal is highly demanded worldwide. The cuvee and its distinctive flat, clear lead crystal glass bottle design was first made in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes and safety needs of Tsar Alexander II. Produced only during the best years, when the Chardonnay (around 40%) and Pinot noir (around 60%) grapes have attained perfect maturity, it is aged for 6 years in Louis Roederer’s cellars and left for a further 8 months after dégorgement. Depending on the growing conditions in each year, the cellar master will slightly change his secret recipe as a cooler year may favor Pinot Noir while a warmer year will favor Chardonnay. Every release offers a powerful and multi-dimensional Champagne that amazes every drinker's senses; therefore, we are always keen to stock up on Cristals whenever the price is right.

To capture the ultimate expression of the Pinot Noir from their “la Montagne” estate, Louis Roederer launched the Brut Vintage La Montagne Late Release in October this year (2022), presenting some of the extraordinary vintages in the 90s. With the use of  Pinot Noir from Verzy and the complement of Chardonnay, the wines are matured on lees for 4 years and stored in the cellar with perfect conditions for at least 6 months after disgorged, slowly giving the power and maturity to the wine, at the same time expressing its deepness, concentration and fruitiness.

Today we are honoured to share with you Louis Roederer Brut Vintage La Montagne Late Release with a parcel of four bottles, consisting of vintage 1995, 1996, 1997 & 1999, and their magnum 1.5L in vintage 1995 & 1996!
