A family-run domaine located in the heart of Pernand-Vergelesses, Domaine Dubreil Fontaine is now managed by Christine Gruere who is the 5^th generation of the family. The domaine often represent great value for both reds and whites. The reds are charming and pleasant in their early drinking age, and the whites are fresh, intense and expressive. Christine Gruere is lucky to be able to receive some fantastic parcels in Pernand-Vergelesses and Corton, many of these, for example the Corton Bressandes and Clos du Roi are delicious Pinots which deliver Grand Cru qualities. Dubreil Fontaine also owns a monopole in Pernand- Vergelesses with both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay planted, which the white presents surprising quality as a big counterpart of its Grand Cru neighbor Corton-Charlemagne.

The 2014 Corton Bressandes Grand Cru has a rounded, quite dense bouquet with blackberry, raspberry and almost meaty scents -- very focused with good vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite saline in the mouth with a real mineral-driven nose that lingers long in the mouth. This is a very fine Grand Cru.
