Drappier is a family-owned Champagne house that was established back in 1808 in the Aube region of Champagne. They are one of the finest Champagne houses, with their cellars dating back to 1152 which is among the oldest and most extensive cellars in Europe and house the greatest vintages and bottles of Champagne Drappier. Drappier was a pioneer in introducing the pinot noir grape variety in Aube, a strategic decision that characterises the distinctive style of their champagne. Using very low quantities of dosage and extremely limited use of sulphites, their champagnes highlight the multifaceted aspects of their terroirs and wine-making. In addition, they do a secondary fermentation, or "prise de mousse" in all their bottle formats, riddling and disgorging individually in their original bottles. This unique process creates the freshness and finesse you will find in their champagne.
