The eldest son of the honored white winemaker in Saint-Aubin, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey set up his own winery under his own name after working in his father's domaine for over 10 years. Given his talent and influence from his father, he quickly made a name for himself and became one of the most highly sought-after labels in the world of Chardonnay. He applied new methods in his own domaine - using larger barrels (350-litre), no battonage (lees stirring) in the winemaking process and top his wines with wax - all of which aim to avoid premature oxidation as well as making pure, elegant and precise wines which genuinely express the characteristics of the terroirs. Due to the popularity of his wines, it is not easy to source his bottles, especially back vintages so it is always a good idea to pick up a few bottles whenever they are available.
A fantastic list includes a few back vintages bottles from Pierre-Yves-Colin-Morey dating back to 2010 and an outstanding vintage of burgundy white such as 2017, we are pleased to share these exciting new purchases from France and these will only be more difficult to source in future –
