Boyer-Martenot is a 10-hectare family estate that has been handed down from father to son over four generations. It is one of the greatest, traditional estates of Meursault that are known to make rich, opulent wines. Having joined his father Yves and working together for a while, Vincent began taking full control from 2002 onwards and has since then made a name for himself. His tenacity in the vineyards and dedication to balance and freshness has led to wines of increased terroir clarity. He allows only indigenous yeast in the cellar, using little new wood and bottling his whites with low levels of SO2 and minimal to zero filtration. His hard work is evident in his wines but as he prefers to keep a low profile, these beautiful wines have been under the radar for years. For those in the know, there is no doubt that this is one of the top producers in Burgundy.

Today we are pleased to bring to you Boyer-Martenot's Meursault Les Narvaux from the 2019 vintage. The 2019 vintage was mostly hot and dry in the growing season with maturities spiking in early September thus Vincent decided to pick early to get grapes that were "super-clean and solidly ripe and with good acidities" to get that good balance. In the words of Vincent, the vintage 2019 is "more classic than say 2015 or 2018" which have been considered to be the good vintages in the decade. The Meursault Narvaux 2019 was awarded with 90-92 points by Allen Meadows and highlighted to be "outstanding" and that it is "a firm and impressive Narvaux".
