Today we would like to share with you some newly arrived magnum-sized (1.5L) bottles which are from 1995 and 1997 vintages, and are in excellent condition. Offering now at special prices until 31st December, these beautifully aged bottles are starting from only HK$970 per Magnum! Among the selections are two producers - Labaume Aine & Fils and Hospice de Beaune: Labaume Aine & Fils is a winery with Dutch roots with history going back to the first quarter of the 13th century. The main winemaker, Alain Servo, comes from Burgundy and his parents owned a small vineyard and a farm. His winemaking philosophy is to maximize the use of organic methods of growing grapes and producing wine in order to preserve and better display the nature of the terroir of Burgundy. Today we have their Pommard and Gevrey-Chambertin both from 1995 for your selection. Hospices de Beaune has an iconic polychromatic-tiled Hôtel-Dieu in central Beaune and currently owns around 60 hectares which the majority are used for Pinot Noir production and the rest used for Chardonnay, in which around 85% are premier crus and grand crus. They have entrusted 22 winemakers to produce wines and sell their productions at an auction on every third Sunday of November with all proceeds being invested back into the hospital and to conserve the beautiful Hôtel Dieu. Today we have their Clos des Avaux 1997 for your consideration. The Clos des Avaux is a premier cru vineyard and it is the only "Clos" cuvee in all of Beaune. Vineyards were planted in the 1980s or older, and make up 42% of the Cuvée.
