As a consulting winemaker to some of Burgundy’s most celebrated domaines, including DRC and Dujac, Pierre Millemann, together with his wife Stéphanie and daughter Charlotte, established Millemann Wines. It is a small, exclusive project dedicated solely to crafting Grand Cru wines. With a vision to combine excellence and philanthropy, Millemann Wines channels Burgundy’s finest expressions toward charitable causes. 

Recognized by Allen Meadows alongside Jean-Yves Bizot as one of the region’s finest growers, Pierre brings over two decades of consulting experience to his own label. Thanks to his long-standing relationships with top domaines, he sources only the most exceptional Grand Cru grapes each year, vinifying them in his own cellar.
 
Millemann Wines debuted in 2017 with two cuvées, Corton-Charlemagne and Chambertin both immediately acclaimed for their precision and purity. Rather than imposing a fixed “house style,” Pierre seeks to reveal the full integrity of each vineyard’s terroir. Although he owns no vines himself, he is uncompromising in his grape selection: if growers fail to meet his meticulous standards or refuse to allow him to determine the harvest date, he will simply decline to collaborate.

The Corton-Charlemagne shows a much greater depth of colour than the Puligny. Mid yellow with a fresh gold tint. A little touch of pineapple, extra energy here, very promising. The texture has significant grip, phenolic in a complex way, almost red wine tannins, saline, then the fruit returns. Tingling and very persistent. Production consist of one barrel of each of 228-, 300- and 500-litre sizes. Drink from 2029-2036.
