From the historical Gros family which have magical holdings in Vosne Romanee which divided to four in 1963, Domaine Gros Frere et Soeur has been improved progressively after Bernard Gros took over the management in 1984, nowadays it is one of the most beautiful domaines in Vosne Romanee situated near Richebourg, with Domaine Jean Grivot, Domaine Meo Camuzet and Michel Gros being very close neighbors.
 
Wines from Gros Frere et Soeur are usually full-bodied and have significant layers of oak influence that impart aromatic, concentrated and dense fruits elements. Gros Frere et Soeur enjoys beautiful holdings in four Grand Crus – Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, Grands Echezeaux and Echezeaux.
 
Located below the famous Le Clos des Réas lieu-dit, Vosne-Romanee Clos de la Fontaine is a monople owned by Domaine A.F. Gros in the past. From 2022, Domaine A.-F. Gros ceded this vineyard to Gros Frère et Soeur as part of a family arrangement within the Gros family estates and it becomes the new cuvee from the Gros Frere et Soeur family.
