We’re delighted to share a new discovery from the southern reaches of Champagne — a domaine quickly becoming one of the most talked-about names in the Côte des Bar: Etienne Sandrin of Celles-sur-Ource.
 
A near neighbour of Cédric Bouchard (Roses de Jeanne), Étienne and Anne Sandrin farm a mere 10 hectares biodynamically (Demeter-certified) and bottle only tiny volumes of zero-dosage wines that express the chalk and clay-limestone soils of their village with exhilarating purity.
 
It’s no surprise Decanter hails them among Champagne’s most transparent and vibrant growers — awarding 95 points to “Beauregard”, calling it “one of the most clear-eyed, exhilarating expressions in the region.”
