Established in 2008,Ā DomaineĀ BerlancourtĀ is one of the smallest Domaines in Burgundy which is located in Meursault.Ā AdrienĀ BerlancourtĀ has been exposed to different wines since a very young age, and when he was just 20 years old in 2008, he already finished working at Etienne Sauzet andĀ DomaineĀ Trapet, then together with his father Pierre aimed to produce the most natural and high-qualityĀ Chardonnay.

His father, Pierre was a high-regardedĀ sommelier, who isĀ a very good friend with two of the Burgundy legends Jean-FrancoisĀ CocheĀ DuryĀ and the ex-DRC winemaker Bernard Noblet. They visit theĀ domaineĀ twice a year to taste the wines and offer suggestions.Ā CocheĀ DuryĀ even said that all of the wines fromĀ DomaineĀ BerlancourtĀ can be qualified as 1er cru.

AlthoughĀ with onlyĀ 1.5Ā hectares of vineyard, they have managed to produce four wines in separate plots, all bottled as Bourgogne Blanc. They farmed the vines 100% organically with all work done by hand. They also use indigenous yeasts and a low amount ofĀ sulphur, with a minimumĀ influence in the cellarĀ without lees stirring, and the wines are fermented and aged in new oak for up to 3 years, with each cuvee spent up to 18-20 months before bottling. In order to produce withĀ the best quality, only around 4000-5000 bottles are made per year.Ā Their wine style is closer toĀ DomaineĀ Roulot, which was very pale, but can be preserved for a long period of time.Ā

With grapes coming from Puligny-Montrachet, it's complex gear up with complex notes of dark fruits, Asian spices, licorice, and cigar.
