Located at Pesson-Leognan, Chateau Laville Haut Brion was established in 1611 by Marie de Laville, who was a wealthy window of a Bordeaux magistrate, Sir de Queyrac. Their family owned the estate for around a century until 1717 that sold to a surgeon Bernard Gaussens.
