Domaine Georges Roumier is one of the top names in Chambolle-Musigny and also produces some of the most valuable wines in the world. The Domaine was established back in 1924 by Georges Roumier, which was then passed down to his son, Jean-Marie, and now the Domaine is managed by his grandson, Christophe. When the Domaine first started, they only sold their wines to local merchants, but it was in 1945 that Georges initiated domaine bottling, and their wines became a global sensation since then.
Their wines stand out among all other domaines in Chambolle-Musigny because of the meticulous care given to the vines and their distinctive domaine style. Their wines are pure, seductive and fruit-forward across their portfolio, with no hard-edges.
Receiving 93pts and with a cheaper price tag compared with Roumier’s other cuvees in Vintage 2021, such as Echezeaux Grand Cru, Chambolle-Musigny Les Combottes 1er Cru and Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras 1er Cru, Morey-Saint-Denis Clos de la Bussiere 1er Cru 2021 looks like a shrewd buy in a very good vintage for the domaine. It is a 2.59 ha monopole of the domaine with a unique profile of terroir under great hands like Christophie, this is not to be missed -

The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos de la Bussière, from an early ripening site, has turned out beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, dark berries and plums mingled with warm spices and orange zest. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, it's deep and impressively concentrated, with powdery structuring tannins and a long, perfumed finish.
