"Pure and charming" RP, 2010 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc
A beautiful wine estate located in the Pessac-Léognan of Bordeaux. Château Larrivet Haut-Brion has a rich history dating back to the 1800s, when it was originally known as La Rivette. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes and ownership transitions before settling on its current name in 1929.
The château is now owned and managed by the Gervoson family, who acquired the property in 1987. Under their stewardship, the estate has seen significant expansion and improvement. The vineyard now covers 72 hectares, with 65 hectares dedicated to red grape varieties (primarily Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) and 7 hectares to white grape varieties (mainly Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
The whites are always outperform the reds, and in Vintage 2010, the Whites received an outstanding 92pts from Robert Parker while the Reds received 90pts! From a fantastic vintage, the 2010 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc offers stunning value for drinkers who are looking for a mature and high-quality white from Bordeaux:
