Last week, we were proud to receive the representative from L'Aventure in our wine bar located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and have a memorable tasting experience, exploring the beautiful terroir in Paso Robles in California.
 
At the heart of Paso Robles' esteemed Willow Creek District lies L'Aventure Winery, a pioneering estate renowned for crafting exceptional wines that embody the region's full potential. Founded by Stephan Asseo who originated from France. L'Aventure is celebrated for its innovative approach to winemaking, leveraging the unique terroir of its 50-hectare property to produce wines with classic grapes varieties in Bordeaux and Rhone Valley. The estate's proximity to the ocean ensures warm days and cool nights, extending the grape maturation period and contributing to the complexity of its wines. 
 
The best cuvee in L'Aventure's portfolio is the Estate Cuvée. Vintage 2020 is a sumptuous blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Petit Verdot is a testament to the winery's mastery of blending and the best quality grapes are selected for the flagship. The cuvee undergone 15 months aging in 81% New French Oak and the rest in 1-Year Old French Oak with malolatic fermentation in barrels.

A blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot, the 2020 Estate Cuvée is another outstanding wine from L'Aventure in the challenging 2020 vintage, offering singular concentration and elegance. Deep ruby-purple, it has a pure core of cassis and slowly unfolding accents of licorice, cured meats, tobacco leaves, cedar and truffle. Full-bodied, juicy and alluring, it floods the mouth with layers of blue fruit, floral perfume and spice. It is supported by powdery tannins and boasts a tremendously long, detailed finish.
