Domaine Chantal Remy has a history dating back to the 1820s when it was first established under the name Domaine Louis Remy. Chantal is a qualified oenologist and helped her mother at the domaine from 1988 after her father passed away. When her mother passed away in 2008, Chantal and her two brothers inherited the domaine and she was able to keep 1.5hectares of vineyards (out of the total 4.5) and were all the Grand Crus in the family; and that was when, from the 2009 vintage, that the domaine was renamed from Louis Remy to Chantal Remy.
Following traditional methods with no herbicides or insecticides used in the vineyards, employing 1/3 of new wood and without any fining or filtration, wines created by Chantal are truly classic Burgundies that are elegant and pure but which prices remain extremely accessible for their quality. Since 2013, Chantal's son has been taking the lead at the domaine and is very promising to bring the domaine to greater heights.
