In Vosne-Romanee, there is a 0.30ha parcel of Les Gaudichots 1er Cru which borders the world-famous La Tache Grand Cru. Due to its exceptional terroir being in close proximity to La Tache and its much lower price point, Les Gaudichots has gained a lot of attention in recent years. The vineyard's history is rather complicated having many owners over the years which each have fought to get ownership of the neighbouring La Tache, and in 1932, a compromise was found and some of the original Gaudichots vineyards was annexed to La Tache. Therefore, there are only three small sections of Les Gaudichots that remain, and are divided among six owners such as Domaine Forey and Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, but none possess more than a quarter of a hectare. Domaine Forey is the only one of the few owners that farms and bottles wines from this parcel. Some other producers that bottles wines from here are Marchand de Gramont, DRC (that uses the grapes for their Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru) and Dujac (that uses the grapes for their Malconsorts), hence Domaine Forey is the very few places where you can taste this particular Premier Cru that situates so closely to La Tache at a huge fraction of the price (less than 10% of a La Tache!). However, due to their size of ownership, production of this wine is extremely limited. 
 
Vintage 2022 is clearly a successful vintage, with Allen Meadows wrote a beautiful note on Domaine Forey -
“I found much to like in the range of Forey 2022s. I would further observe that the style seems to be evolving here even if only slightly as I find that it's becoming slightly less robust and thus more approachable young, even if the wines are still built to age.”- Allen Meadows, Burghound.com

From a 0.30 ha parcel of vines. Pungent aromas of wood and reduction precede the gorgeously textured medium weight flavors that also exude a prominent bead of minerality on the equally firm, moderately austere and impressively persistent finish that displays focused power. This too contrasts a velvety mid-palate with a robust but importantly, not rustic finale. Excellent.
