Opus One is the realization of a dream shared by two visionary winemakers - Baron Philippe de Rothschild of the renowned Château Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux, and Robert Mondavi, the pioneering Napa Valley vintner. Their partnership, forged in 1979, aimed to create a single, exceptional wine that embodied the pursuit of uncompromising quality.
 
The Opus One estate comprises four meticulously hedged vineyard parcels, where the vineyard team cultivates the five traditional Bordeaux grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.
