Domaine Gagnard-Delagrange was established in 1959 with the marriage of Jacques Gagnard to Marie-Josèphe Delagrange. In the past, the domaine owned a few nice parcels including Le Montrachet, Batard Montrachet and Boudriotte 1er Cru. Jacques Gagnard passed away in 2009 and most of the vineyards including the Grand Crus have been handed down to their daughters Laurence and Claudine. Marie-Josèphe decided to keep a tiny 7.4 acres including the Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru, which was a wedding present from Marie-Josèphe Delagrange’s parents when she married Jacques Gagnard.
 
The domaine is managed by Marc-Antonin Blain nowadays, who is the grandson of Jacques and Marie-Josèphe who has been working with Jacques for three years. Gagnard-Delagrange owns a plot in Batard Montrachet which is shared between Puligny and Chassagne. Only 2 barrels are made each year and this remains at an approachable price nowadays.
