Now In Stock, Outscored Roumier at 10% of its price: Drouhin Laroze Bonnes Mares Grand Cru 2004

A family-run Domaine founded in 1919 owns about 11.5 ha of vines nowadays, Drouhin-Laroze produces a fantastic line-up of wines in Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny in which many are either 1er Cru or Grand Cru. Some of the most famous terroirs that they own include Le Musigny, Chambertin Clos de Beze, Chapelle Chambertin, and Latricieres-Chambertin and are made to be great. Buyers who are patient enough to wait for them to mature will benefit from the complexity that adds to the wine.
We have just secured a parcel of Drouhin Laroze Bonnes Mares and trust that it gives extraordinary value. In fact, Vintage 2004 is a successful vintage under Philippe Drouhin who calles 2004 a "classic vintage in the traditional sense of the term with a heavy emphasis on terroir and perhaps even more pinot character than usual.” , renowned British wine critic and writer Jancis Robinson is one of the admirer of the wine, giving it a fantastic 18pts which outscored Georges Roumier and Robert Groffier, with much higher market prices than the Drouhin Laroze which can be referred to the below:

Here the wood is much more tightly integrated with the earthy dark fruit aromas nuanced by traces of violets, licorice and a very subtle hint of mocha. The big, robust and muscular flavors offer a lovely sweetness with excellent depth and a forward but mouth coating finish of serious length. This is a big wine though not as structured as some in this range; still, it's going to require 8 to 10 years to be at its best.

Subject to final confirmation. Immediately available.

Delivery is free-of-charge for single purchase above HK$3,000 or 6 bottles (or accumulated amount at time of delivery); otherwise, a standard delivery fee of HK$100 applies.
