Below Market Price - 1970 Chateau Palmer Margaux

Though Château Palmer is ranked as a third growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, it is the most Château of the Third Growth and has even been consistently considered to be one of the "Super Seconds" with their quality almost First Growth, and often praised to be even better than Château Margaux. Located in the centre of the Margaux appellation, they are one of the biggest estates in the region and have produced many iconic vintages such as 1961, 1966, 1983 and 1989. They usually incorporate a smaller proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and a larger proportion of Merlot to energize the backbone with purity and finesse. Their wines can usually be drunk young but will also reward long cellaring.

We have just secured a rare parcel of Vintage 1970 Palmer, well below market price, sadly there are only a few available and offer works on a fist-come-first-served basis -
