Jean-Marie Guffens started his journey in Burgundy since 1976. At the beginning he started to work as managers and consultants in the Mâconnais, in 1991 he setup a maison business (Verget) which produces excellent value wines by sourcing high-quality grapes in Chablis, Cote d’Or and Mâconnais. From time to time,  Jean-Marie Guffens works with reliable partners and grapes are picked by himself and the team in Verget as he insists on harvesting the grapes at the point of optimum ripeness. The wines are fruity and expressive, nowadays they remain at very approachable prices for people who look at superb value burgundies.
