The Pernot family hold the second largest area of vines in Puligny-Montrachet after Leflaive, with around 20 hectares of vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, around 80% is sold to famous negociants such as Joseph Drouhin and they keep the best grapes for their own label. Robert Parker has been one of the admirers of Paul Pernot’s label, "The Domaine Pernot makes some exquisite white wines… However, few people are aware of just how stunning these wines can be." Clive Coates MW is also a fan, highlighting Pernot as "a very good domaine" where the "quality is very high", resulting in "consistent enthusiastic notes of Pernot wines."
 
After the campaign of Paul Pernot Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2010 in late of July, we have found another parcel of Vintage 2014 which is widely considered as an outstanding vintage of Burgundy whites. And it has been awarded 93pts from Allen Meadows who described “seductively textured and impressively persistent finish”, this is a compelling and top-quality Chardonnay not to be missed -

A slightly riper and mildly more complex nose features notes of honeysuckle, pear, white peach and citrus hints. There is excellent volume to the mouth coating, intense and generous middle weight flavors that possess good power but also good focus before terminating in a seductively textured and impressively persistent finish. This well-balanced effort should be capable of aging effortlessly for years to come.
