Established in Beaune in the late 1800s, Remoissenet has long been known for their Grand Cru and Premier Cru productions of both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate operates both as a domaine - using grapes from their own vineyards - and as a negociant - purchasing grapes from the best growers and only buying the best quality grapes and even offering bonuses to growers when the quality exceeds expectations. Everything remains in traditional ways, but the grapes and growers are carefully chosen thus the qualities are extraordinary.
 
Last week, we spotted a case of Remoissenet Pere & Fils Chambertin Clos-de-Beze Grand Cru 1996 which has stayed in a professional warehouse for at least a decade. It also came from an outstanding vintage in Burgundy in which the reds are “Pure, elegant wines with the ability to age (Decanter)” , extremely hard to find once being sold and these are treasurable not to be missed
