Prieure Roch was created in 1988 which extends over 14 ha along the Côte de Nuits with high climate variation from year to year. Directed by Henry-Frédéric Roch  who passed away in 2018, grandson of Henry Leroy (founder of Maison Leroy, co-owner of DRC), nephew of Lalou Bize Leroy. Domaine.. Prieure Roch is a non-influential follower who always includes the stems in fermentation, hard work has been paid in the vineyard and no sulphur is used. The wines are of great finesse, and as closely as possible to reflect their respective climates. 

Above the town of Beaune, just on the slopes of the famous Corton mountain, is the Ladoix appellation. Located on the mid-hillside and acquired in 2010 by the Prieuré Roch estate. The plot called “Le Clou”, which gets its’ name from “cloud”. To avoid confusion from another vineyard Vosne-Romanee "Les Clous", they have labelled "Le Cloud" instead of "Le Clou".Le Cloud covers 2.16 ha of which 1.68 ha is planted with pinot noir and the remaining 0.48 ha in chardonnay. This terroir has been tamed and trained to  follow the philosophy /(capture the soul) of Domaine Prieuré Roch.  Facing east and therefore benefiting from maximum light for the region. Pinot Noirs finds its best conditions to benefit optimal maturity. Their wines will delight and surprise you year after year, vintage after vintage.Made with an average of 50-year-old vines Pinot Noir,  Prieure Roch’s Le Clou is delicious when it is young and also has high potential for further aging.  In many Prieure Roch’s followers' tasting journeys, Le Cloud is the first bottle to enter the world of Prieuré Roch as it remains affordable when compared with many other wines from the Domaine. As a big recent release of the week, we are delighted to offer the following:
