Bollinger makes some of the most full-bodied, rich and powerful style Champagne among the top houses. With a Pinot-dominant style, use of barrel-aging and being slightly oxidative, they have a strong following globally including ourselves! Bollinger R.D., abbreviation for "Recemment Degorge", lies in the cellar and is aged longer on the lees, and usually receives lower dosage at around 3-4g/L. It can be enjoyed soon after release if you prefer richer fruits and freshness and also has great potential for post-disgorgement aging.
