Located in the commune of Urville in the Aube, Drappier was founded in 1808 by the Drappier family. As one of the finest Champagne Houses, their cellar can be dated back to 1152, which was built by Cistercian monks from Clairvaux Abbey, known to be the oldest Cellar in Champagne. Drappier is famous for their Prestige tête de cuvée, Grande Sendrée, at the same time producing a selection of amazing vintage and non-vintage Champagnes.

Owning around 62 hectares of vineyards, Drappier is well-known for its use of Pinot Noir, as well as its low quantity use of sulfur and dosage. With their focus on sustainability and the use of organic viticulture methods in their vineyards, around 27 hectares are certified as organic, ensuring to produce the natural, deep gold colour with expressive aromas. The wines are vinified with small interventions involved, without any filtering or discolouring. They also do a second fermentation, with a process of prise de mousse, allowing to produce the fine and subtle effervescence, bringing the freshness and finesse of the Champagne. Drappier is now managed by Michel Drappier, and continues to bring us the high-quality Champagnes.
