As one of the five first growths in Bordeaux, and also the only property to be included in the 1855 Classification, Chateau Haut-Brion has grown fame widely around the world since their first established back in the 1530s by the Pontac family. After changing several hands throughout the centuries, the chateau was purchased by an American Financier Clarence Dillon in 1935 and is now managed by the fourth generation of the family, Prince Robert of Luxembourg since 2008. Located in  Pessac-Leoganan, just a few kilometres away from the city of Bordeaux, they own around 52 hectares of vineyards, around 48 hectares planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, and the remaining planted with Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

The fermentation of their red wines takes place in stainless steel, then with another 22 months in new barrels; their whites on the other hand fermented in new oak barrels, then spend another 12-15 months before bottling. These define the characteristics of Haut Brion by its seductive perfume, harmony, elegance and the ability to age with grace and dignity, performing the classic style of Graves with cigar-box, curranty fruit, earth, smoky spice and cassis. Their whites equally display the remarkable freshness and power, which shows the perfect combination of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

As the best white wine in Bordeaux, they are absolutely outstanding and can be equivalent to the top-class Burgundy White, and their scarcity makes them even more precious and unique.
