Located west of Chateau Pavie, south of Chateau Ausone, southern hillside of Saint-Émilion – Château La Gaffelière, previously named Chateau Gaffelière-Naudes, this beautiful  shares a similar climate and conditions of the other 2 wineries. It is ranked among the 18 Premier grand cru classé B wineries in the Classification of Saint-Émilion wine, which is already very impressive in the area. The winery holds 32ha of land and 22ha of it is used to produce their First Label. These pieces of land are mainly slopes facing south or southwest which enjoy the advantage of long, warm, sunny days and good water draining conditions. Their land is planted with 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. 

Refusing to bend to fashion trends, the winery is deep-rooted to respect the terroir to its origin. They have tried their best to minimize any negative destruction towards the environment with its environmental-friendly winery management control. For example, they have reused the trimmed down parts as re-usable fertilizer. Besides, they have planted more wildflowers to slow down the soil erosion in the vineyard and to cultivate a biodiversity environment. They also adopt green harvest, by removing extra bunches from a vine, with the aim to allow better ripening and concentration of remaining grapes. 

The finesse and elegance of wine making methods have been passed down through generations, inscribed between tradition and modernity. 

We are very lucky to obtain 2 rare cases of Ex-Chateau (released 2021). The bottles were re-labelled before release, which we must mention they have been kept unmoved ever since they were bottled. This has given the bottles an ideal condition to cellar and age over the years.
