Domaine Fourrier is managed by second generation Jean-Marie Fourrier, who took over the family estate in 1990 when he was only 23 years old but was already extremely experienced for his age. His experience came not only from his experience from working at his family domaine, but also from working with the legendary Henri Jayer in Vosne-Romanee in which he was a part of the creation of the epic 1988 vintage. He learned and followed Jayer's philosophy in that the creation of the best wine starts in the vineyard, hence he has been meticulous in the cultivation of his vineyards, most especially for the old vines at Domaine Fourrier, and the domaine has been well-known for the elegance and rich fruits with immense purity in their wines.

Last week, we purchased a small parcel of Fourrier Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru and the extremely rare bottles of Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru 2012, a flagship wine of the domaine which come from a .26 ha parcel planted in 1928. Please find a summary from the below:
