We are delighted to offer a tiny parcel of a fine Champagne from Michel Fallon. Michel has worked with Anselme Selosse in the past 30 years and brings one of the valuable parts of the success of the great man in Champagne, he is equipped with excellent techniques and later offered an opportunity to vinify a few vines in Avize by himself.
 
That comes to a project of “Ozanne”, it is made by 100% Chardonnay and there are less than 1,000 bottles produced every year. The practices are heavily influenced by his experience with Anselme Selosse, from vinification to disgorgement, the bottles are taken in Anselme Selossels property, and the juices are fermented in used barrels and aged in barrel before lees aging in bottles.In our past experience of Michel Fallon Ozanne, this is an excellent cuvee with elegant and feminine touches which give vibrant and lovely impressions, what a great Champagne we were lucky to sample!

The NV Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Ozanne is laced with gorgeous scents of pastry, brioche, citrus, white flowers and yellow orchard fruit. Warm, oxidative tones add breadth and volume, but the wine remains weightless, impeccable and pure. The delineated, crystalline finish leaves a lasting impression. This is a super-impressive showing from a producer who appears to have a very bright future. Ozanne is the old, historical name by which Avize was known prior to 796. Disgorged May 25, 2012.
