One of their Grand Cru holdings is the Chambertin Clos de Beze in which two-thirds of the vines there date back to 1912 with the remainder planted in 1972. This is known to be an exceptional wine even by the standards of this great vineyard and will repay significant ageing. An elegant, airy and ntensely spicy and earth-inflected nose that is not only quite fresh and remains relatively primary as well. There is equally good youthfulness to the medium-bodied, intense and stony flavors that possess excellent depth and persistence on the balanced finish that flashes just a touch of austerity. To my preference this is still very much developing and while it could be enjoyed now thanks to the fine complexity, I would advise allowing this another 5 to 10 years of cellaring as it's evolving quite slowly. In a word, outstanding.
