Domaine Coquard Loison Fleurot is a great discovery tucked away in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. For years, this family domaine quietly focused on growing grapes from some of the region’s best vineyards, including top-notch Grand Crus like Échezeaux and Grands Échezeaux. It wasn’t until 2010 that they started bottling their own wines under the family name, with winemaker Thomas Colladot bringing fresh energy to the cellar and Claire Fleurot leading the charge on the business side. Since then, their wines have really started to turn heads.
The style is bright with clear fruit and elegant aromatics that show off the vineyards’ unique character. Everything is handled with care, they apply 100% destemming with solid influence of oak. Then the wines are bottled without fining or filtration, allowing each wine to present the authentic characters from terroir.
From an outstanding vintage in 2020, we are delighted to offer a parcel of Domaine Coquard Loison Fleurot Bourgogne Rouge. The grapes are sourced around Flagey-Échezeaux which are planted as far back as the 1950s (75-years-old!). Please find details as follows -

A very fresh, pretty and layered nose offers up its notes of both red and dark currant, earth and soft spice wisps. The delicious middle weight flavors possess a beguiling sense of vibrancy while displaying fine length and depth on the balanced finish. This isn't elegant but it is refreshing.
