With a rich history spanning over 28 generations since the Clerget family settled in the village of Volnay in 1268. Domaine Yvon Clerget underwent a significant transformation in 1983 when Yvon Clerget took charge and changed the name to Domaine Yvon Clerget. In 2015, Yvon's son Thibaud assumed control of the family business, ushering in a new era of winemaking approach and revitalizing the estate's reputation. Thibaud has pursued a distinct style that combines elegance, delicacy, and terroir transparency.
 
Under Thibaud's leadership, the estate has been expanded to a total of 10 hectares in July 2022. He adopted a contemporary winemaking approach which aim to revitalize the traditional style of Pommard and Volnay.Thibaud has stopped pigeage (the traditional punching down of the cap during fermentation) and has incorporated whole bunch fermentation for some cuvées, aiming to enhance finesse and terroir expression. He has also reduced the use of new oak and is open to experimentation, such as aging wine in glass globes for certain bottlings.The wines are approachable when young. The styles are pure and elegant with fine and chewy tannins.

The 2023 Vintage is released, and it's a successful vintage again, with these wines receiving stunning scores from Allen Meadows and Jasper Morris. Enjoy an extra 5% if you place an order before 31st Aug 2025
