Set up after the marriage between Richard Fontaine and Gagnard Delagrange in 1985, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard has since been producing excellent Chardonnays and nowadays is still a name that is “under-the-radar” but attracts lots of wine collectors to secure it during En Primeur. The Domaine has beautiful ownership in Chassagne-Montrachet with a few Premier Crus as well as Batard-Montrachet and Le Montrachet Grand Cru.
