Champagne Fleury is a Récoltant-Manipulant (a grower who makes and markets Champagne under their own label) which has a very long history in Cote des Bars. The house was established in 1895 by Jean-Pierre Fleury's grandfather, Emile, and is still owned by the family till this day. The Champagne house owns 15 hectares of vineyard in which 90% are planted with Pinot Noir and the rest with Chardonnay. They were a pioneer in planting organically since 1970, and they were also accredited with biodynamic certification in 1989 which was also the first among growers in Champagne and have been successfully cultivating healthy grapes year after year....

Having grown up in Alsace with a passion for wine and photography, Vincent Dancer was originally studying to become an engineer, but after spending some time in Burgundy, he decided to settle in Chassagne-Montrachet and make wine from his family-owned vineyards. Only 5 hectares which is relatively small even by Burgundy standards, the vineyards are very well-situated. Vincent took over the domaine in 1996 and bottled his very first vintage in 2003 and was the first producer in Chassagne to become certified organic. Highest-scored in Blind Tasting: KUMEU RIVER Parcel Incl. Top Wines Hunting Hill & Mate's Vineyard 2
Kumeu River is probably the next best Chardonnay producer outside of Burgundy. From New Zealand, a "new world" wine region, they participated in a blind tasting by fourteen wine professionals in 2015 against some of the top Burgundy producers such as Comte des Lafon, Etienne Sauzet, Domaine Leflaive and Joseph Drouhin and they submitted 4 styles in the 2012 vintage in which Kumeu River scored the highest in 3 of the 4 flights and tied in the last flight - leading to get the highest overall score.
